PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) - A federal judge issued a preliminary injunction on Sunday evening, blocking deployment of the National Guard to Portland until Nov. 7.
According to the order dated Nov. 2, 2025, by Judge Immergut, “Until this Court issues its final opinion and order resolving Plaintiffs’ request for a permanent injunction, Defendant Secretary Hegseth is preliminarily enjoined from implementing the following memoranda federalizing and deploying members of the National Guard in Oregon.”
This comes after a three-day trial in Portland before Trump-appointed federal Judge Immergut on whether President Donald Trump can legally deploy National Guard members to Portland.
