The air quality in Delhi-NCR continues to remain in 'very poor' category as a layer of haze engulfs many areas. The air quality index (AQI) in Akshardham and Anand Vihar were 347 and 371 respectively, as per the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).
Truck-mounted water sprinkler was deployed around Kartavya Path to mitigate pollution. The AQI in the area was 307, categorised as 'Very Poor' by the CPCB.
Saif, a resident, told ANI, "Pollution in Delhi is rising. There is burning in the eyes and difficulty in breathing...Government should do something about it..."
The AQI in the area around AIIMS and Safdarjung Hospital was 215, categorised as 'Poor' by the CPCB.
