5Oakwood, GA A 36-year-old woman was arrested after the remains of a 4-year-old girl were discovered in the trunk of her vehicle. Jessica Maria Motes faced charges for concealing the death of a child.

Police reports indicate that Motes’ father contacted authorities after she allegedly confessed to causing harm to the child. He said she informed him, “I think she is dead,” while they were parked at a Sam’s Club on Mundy Mill Road around 5 p.m. on Sunday.

Following this revelation, Motes and her father were confronted by law enforcement. Upon their arrival, officers found the remains of the girl inside Motes’ Nissan sedan, which is registered in her name.
