Teaching unions have called on the Government to tackle the “ticking time bomb” of asbestos in schools, urging Labour to match their commitments on Raac concrete .
Unions have raised the alarm over the threat posed to teachers and children, and said the extent of asbestos exposure in schools is not known because of a “culture of secrecy”.
The Government has pledged to complete all works to remove Raac concrete from schools by 2029, a move which has been welcomed by unions. New Feature
