Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to meet the Indian women’s cricket team following their historic triumph at the ICC Women’s World Cup 2025 on Sunday. Led by Harmanpreet Kaur, the team outclassed South Africa in the title clash held at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai to win their first ever ICC title.

Soon after India’s win, PM Modi had congratulated the team for their exceptional performance throughout the tournament.

“A spectacular win by the Indian team in the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 Finals. Their performance in the final was marked by great skill and confidence. The team showed exceptional teamwork and tenacity throughout the tournament. Congratulations to our players. This historic win will motivate future champions to take up sports," he posted on X.
