Veteran Hong Kong actor and filmmaker Stanley Fung Shui-fan, best known for his comic flair and beloved roles in Hong Kong cinema, has passed away at the age of 80. His death came just a week after he appeared to predict his own passing while mourning his late friend and fellow actor Hui Shiu-hung, affectionately known as “Benz Hung," who died earlier in the week from cancer-related complications.

In a heartfelt post after Hui’s death, Fung had written, “We must part ways eventually, but I’m older than you and terminally ill, barely clinging to life." His words, once seen as an expression of grief, have now taken on a haunting poignancy.
