Sydney / Adelaide, Australia, November 3, 2025:Australia’s Assistant Minister for Citizenship and Multicultural Affairs Julian Hill has publicly apologised to Indian singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh after the artist faced racist slurs upon his arrival in Australia for his ongoing concert tour.

In a statement to The Australia Today, Hill condemned the racist comments directed at Dosanjh, asserting that there is no place for racial discrimination in Australia.

“Nobody should be discriminated against for who they are, and I’m sorry that Diljit has copped such rubbish from a tiny minority of idiots,” Hill said.
