Bhubaneswar: Some parts of western Odisha may experience the first spell of colder nights this week as the night temperature is likely to fall with northwesterly dry cold winds blowing into the state.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted a 2-3°C drop in the minimum (night) temperature across the state over the next two days.”The night temperature may fall by 2-3°C during the next 2 days with no large change thereafter,” the weather agency said in its midday bulletin on Monday. The IMD has also forecast light to moderate rain or thunderstorm at one or two places in the districts of Gajapati, Ganjam, Rayagada, Koraput and Malkangiri till Tuesday morning, following which dry weather may prevail across the state.
