Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Monday expressed hope regarding the restoration of the ‘Darbar Move’ tradition to serve as a boost for the Union Territory.

He stated that the government has fulfilled their promise by restoring the tradition and termed it as a “setback” for the people when it was “discontinued.”

“Jammu had received a major setback when the Darbar Move was discontinued. It was also our responsibility, and we had promised the public that we would restore the Darbar Move. Today, the Darbar Move has been restored. I hope that this will give a significant boost to the economy of Jammu and Kashmir,” Abdullah told reporters.
