CHICO, Calif. - Halloween night brought thrilling defensive plays from local football teams, vying for the Play of the Week in Week Ten of Under the Lights.

Two standout plays have been selected for this honor, and both showcase impressive defensive skills. Action News Now Sports Director Matthew Kerr Wilson and reporter Blake Mayfield presented their top picks.

Matthew Kerr Wilson highlighted a play from Chico High School, where Chance Murphy intercepted a pass, effectively halting the Foothill Cougars' scoring attempt.

"My man Chance Murphy dressing up like Mr. Invisible in the backfield snatching Puffers pass from the sky to keep the Foothill Cougars off the board," said Wilson.

Blake Mayfield's nomination came from the Orland Trojans' defense, which scored a safety against Corning
