A comedy special that filmed in Wilmington over the summer is getting ready to premiere on the world's biggest streaming service.

In June, Cape Fear Community College's Wilson Center hosted four sold-out shows by comic Leanne Morgan and its first-ever taping of a Netflix comedy special: Morgan's "Unspeakable Things," which comes out Nov. 4.

"This Leanne Morgan thing is the biggest feather in our cap," said CFCC Wilson Center Executive Director Zach Pluer said. "Of all the Live Nation venues, of all the well-known comedy clubs in the country that one of the top-three-grossing comedians in the world right now could have chosen to film her stand-up special, she chose the Wilson Center."
