FORT SMITH, Ark. — Loved ones gathered on Nov. 2 to wish a Fort Smith woman a happy 100th birthday!

Delema Eldridge's big day was full of reflection on how she raised her children, traveled the world, and treated others.

"I've had a good life," she said. "If I had it to live over, I don't know of anything that I would change."

She said she spent most of her life raising her children. Once her two eldest were 18 and 20, she found out she was pregnant with another little girl.

"And I thought, 'Lord, why did you do this to me?' And now I say, 'I know you sent her to me to take care of, and you sent her to me to take care of me when I get old.' And she has. They all do," Delema said.

Her children visit her several times a week.
