The defending Super Bowl champions continue to add to their defence ahead of the trade deadline.
The Philadelphia Eagles have agreed to acquire linebacker Jaelan Phillips from the Miami Dolphins for a 2026 third-round pick, according to report by NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport on Monday.
The Dolphins are going to pay a portion of Phillips’ remaining salary as part of the trade, according to Rapoport.
Phillips, 26, is in his fifth season and has started all nine games for the Dolphins. This year, he has three sacks, seven QB hits and 25 tackles.
The move is the third trade the Eagles have made to boost their defence after acquiring cornerbacks Michael Carter II (from the Jets) and Jaire Alexander (from the Ravens).
The NFL trade deadline is Tuesday at 4 p.m. ET / 1 p.m. PT.
