Men across the UK are eager to move away from the traditional “lads’ night out” in favour of more meaningful ways to connect, saying they’d like to find new ways to bond that don’t revolve around just drinking or sport, according to research commissioned by Interflora.

The research shows half of men normally hit the pub with friends a third opt for meals out and over a fifth take part in other recreational activities, but say their usual activities leave little room to talk openly.
