LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – A suspect is in custody after a shooting overnight in Lexington.

According to Lexington Police, officers were called to the scene around 3 a.m. Friday on Boxwood Drive, near Georgetown Road.

Investigators say the victim was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The suspect was arrested on assault charges.

Police say the investigation into the shooting remains ongoing.
