Srinagar, Nov 03: In its sustained efforts to strengthen security and curb the misuse of SIM cards for unlawful and anti-social activities, Jammu and Kashmir Police in Sopore conducted inspections of various SIM card vendors across the police district.
An official said that the drive focused on verifying customer documentation, KYC compliance, and adherence to Department of Telecommunications (DoT) guidelines, ensuring that no SIM cards are issued without proper verification. Vendors were counselled about their legal obligations and were warned of strict action in case of any violation or negligence.
