Trump Approval Rating Slides to Just 37% — Within 1 Point of His All-Time Low: CNN Poll

President Donald Trump’s approval rating has slumped to just 37%, according to the results of a new CNN poll published Monday , a second-term low and just one single point away from his all-time low.

The numbers mark a precarious backdrop to the upcoming midterm cycle, where a bruising 63% voiced disapproval of the president.

There are several issues defining the number, with 72% of those polled saying the economy is in poor shape, and 61% polling that Trump’s policies have worsened economic conditions. Eight out of 10 consider the government shutdown a crisis or a major problem, and 61% disapprove of Trump’s handling of it.
