UPDATE: The Hamilton County Mayor’s Office is holding the official rollout of a program on Monday morning that is meant to help in the fight against the opioid crisis.

Mayor Weston Wamp and other county officials will launch the Overdose Prevention Team (OPT), an initiative that was announced in March of 2025 to "strengthen the county's response to the opioid crisis".

The event will also feature a panel discussion with OPT members and key community partners, according to Mayor Wamp’s office.

The launch will be held at 10:00am at Hamilton County Emergency Medical Services Administration & Training Center (ATC) on Volunteer Drive.
