Police have urgently appealed to find a wanted man with links to Coventry . Officers are searching for 35-year-old Rahand Mahmud.

Mahmud is originally from Litherland, Merseyside. He failed to appear at Liverpool Crown Court for a theft offence, according to Sefton Police.

Officers described Mahmud as 5ft 8in tall, of medium build, with black hair and brown eyes. He is believed to be staying in Coventry or Birmingham.

Anyone who sees Mahmud is urged to call 999. Information on his whereabouts can be provided on 101 or anonymously via Crimestoppers.
