Punjab Housing and Urban Development Minister S. Hardeep Singh Mundian today informed that Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann led government has taken a key decision aimed at boosting the real estate sector by formulating a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for issuing licenses to develop colonies.

Sharing further details, S. Hardeep Singh Mundian said the Housing and Urban Development department has prepared the SOP to streamline the process of granting licenses for developing colonies in areas under its jurisdiction.

The process has been divided into two stages i.e. issuance of the Letter of Intent (within 30 days) and issuance of the License (within 30 days), fixing the total time limit at 60 days from the date of application submiss
