Months of campaigning are culminating in a tight gubernatorial race in New Jersey — so when can residents expect to know who their next governor will be?

The main candidates, U.S. Rep. Mikie Sherrill, D-New Jersey, and Republican Jack Ciattarelli have been almost neck-and-neck in polling this cycle. Most of these surveys have given Sherrill a slight advantage.

But recent polls suggest that her lead may be shriking, as numbers from Emerson College Polling have placed the Democratic candidate at a 1-percentage-point lead over her opponent with just 2% of voters undecided.

While the New Jersey Division of Elections doesn't post running results on election night, unofficial results should be posted periodically by each county throughout the evening.
