The Vancouver Canucks are closer to getting their captain back.
Quinn Hughes practised with the team on Sunday in Nashville ahead of their clash against the Predators, signalling the defenceman is nearing a return to play.
The 26-year-old has missed the past four games with a lower-body injury, with the Canucks going 1-3 in his absence.
The 2023 Norris Trophy winner was starting to gain momentum after an uncharacteristically slow start, recording two assists in over 26 minutes of ice time in his last game against the Montreal Canadiens.
On the season, Hughes has one goal and seven points in nine games.
The Canucks play the Predators in Nashville on Monday. Watch live starting at 8:30 p.m. ET / 5:30 p.m. PT on Sportsnet and Sportsnet+.
