A 19-year-old man from Steelville was killed late Sunday night.
The crash happened after a Chevrolet sedan, driven by the 19 year old, crossed the center line on Highway 5 in Camden County and collided head-on with an 18-wheeler, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The 19-year-old was pronounced dead on scene while the 45-year-old truck driver from Owensville was not injured.
The crash happened at 11:04 p.m. on Sunday about a mile north of Dry Hollow Road, south of Camdenton, according to MSHP.
MSHP Troop F announced on X that both lanes were closed shortly after the crash.
