LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - This week, the Louisville Metro Police Department is hosting what they are calling the “Tri-City Police Department Academy.”
Officials say it’s a first of its kind partnership between Louisville, Nashville and Knoxville Police Departments.
LMPD says the academy is bringing together sergeants, lieutenants and non-sworn professional staff to prepare leaders.
The summit had its first meeting in Knoxville back in October. This week, sessions will be held in Louisville.
Courses during the week include trauma-informed leadership and leveraging A.I. for the future.
