WARRICK COUNTY, Ind. (WEVV) — Officials in Warrick County say some human remains were discovered and have been linked to a missing man.

Authorities tell 44News the remains were discovered on Friday, and are not connected to the body that was found at the Bluegrass Fish and Wildlife Area on Sunday .

According to the Warrick County Sheriff's Office, the remains were found by a hunter in the Lynnville area.

The remains were collected, and the area was searched. Early Monday morning, the sheriff's office says the remains were identified as those of 38-year-old Zachary Carey.

According to WCSO, Carey had been missing from Evansville since 2023 and had last been seen in the Lynnville area.

Currently, officials with the sheriff's office say they do not suspect foul play in the circumstance
