POOLER, Ga. (WTOC) - [UPDATE 10:48 a.m. 11/2/25] Christopher Jenkins, 48, was arrested Saturday in connection with shooting his wife to death, according to Chatham County Jail records.

Court records reveal his wife, Montique, is the victim who passed away. The victim’s family called the shooting a domestic violence situation on social media.

Court records show Montique filed for divorce just 2 months ago, citing adultery committed by Christopher, before dropping the divorce filing entirely- 2 weeks ago.

The two have been married since 2014.

Jenkins faces felony murder charges as well as charges for possessing a firearm by a convicted felon, aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm in the commission of a crime.
