While the Regina Pats are beginning a busy November in the WHL season, a pair of rookies on the team are starring for their country.

This week, Maddox Schultz and Liam Pue are both suiting up for Team Canada White at the World Under-17 Hockey Challenge in Nova Scotia and in Canada’s first game, the duo had quite the impact.

In a 9-5 win over Sweden on Sunday night, Schultz — who was named Canada White’s captain prior to the tournament — notched three goals while Pue had two goals and three assists.

Schultz and Pue are not only leading the way for Canada White so far, but they are also the youngest two players on the roster. The two 15-year-olds are the only 2010-born forwards on any of the six teams competing. Czech defenceman Matyas Michalek is the only other 15-year-old playing in t
