Howard Hawkins has been found guilty of first-degree murder in the 2021 shooting death of 18-year-old Ahmir Tuli.

A jury has found Hawkins guilty on all counts, including first-degree murder and carrying a firearm without a license. The jury delivered that verdict within two hours of jury deliberations beginning Monday morning.

“You took my baby. I’ll never forgive you for that,” Preeti Tuli, Ahmir Tuli’s mother, said.

It was Feb. 21, 2021, when Ahmir was working at his mom’s restaurant, Preeti’s Pitt, in the Strip District.
