Charlotte Healy was left feeling "really proud" of her Bristol City Women side after the Robins showcased their character and personality to beat Sunderland and return to winning ways in the WSL 2.
The Reds climbed up to third in the table with their 4-2 win over the Black Cats at the Eppleton Colliery Welfare Ground on Sunday afternoon. First-half goals from Camila Saez, Gemma Lawley, and Lexi Lloyd-Smith had City in the driving seat earlier on, but it took a late Emily Syme penalty to put the result beyond doubt.
Saez curled the Robins into the lead with an excellent free-kick after 14 minutes before Lawley doubled the away side's advantage with a header four minutes later. It
