Knog has recalled some bicycle lights because the lithium-ion battery can overheat and cause a fire.
The Knog Blinder 900 and Blinder 1300 model bicycle lights were sold at independent bicycle dealers nationwide and on Amazon from January 2023 through August 2025 for between $60 and $100, according to a company announcement with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.
The company said it has received five reports of the battery catching on fire or exploding. No injuries have been reported.
This recall involves the Knog Blinder 900 and Blinder 1300 Front Bicycle Lights with the following batch codes: 0124AA, 0423AA, 0723AA, 0923AA, 1023AA, 1123AA and 11A23AA.
The batch codes are printed on the underside of the light. The lights were sold individually, and in a set, and came with
