JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Florida Governor Ron DeSantis announced Monday that hospitals across the state will receive a major investment in pediatric cancer research.

Held at Wolfson Children's Hospital in Jacksonville, Gov. DeSantis was joined by First Lady Casey DeSantis, Surgeon General Dr. Joseph Ladapo and Agency for Health Care Admin. Secretary Shevaun Harris.

The investment, The Cancer Connect Collaborative Research Incubator , aims to further the state "as a leader" in cancer research and treatment. DeSantis says that four hospitals, including Wolfsons, will split $30 million to expand access to care, improve technology, and advance new treatment options.

The other three hospitals receiving funding are Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital in St. Petersburg, Nemours Children's Hosp
