EAST BOSTON, Mass. —
Air traffic controller shortages are causing delays across the United States, including at Logan Airport in Boston, Massachusetts. This, on the heels of a close call between an international flight and a Cape Air flight on Thursday.
According to a Delta spokesperson, Delta Flight 263 from Paris to New York was diverted to Boston due to weather conditions.
While preparing to land around 4:15 p.m., the Federal Aviation Administration says the Delta flight was ordered to execute a go-around procedure due to a Cape Air flight clearing to take off from an intersecting runway.
"Three-zero-zero up to three-thousand Delta 263. Heavy, that was close," said the Delta pilot, according to FlightAware.com transmission.
"Yeah, man, not cool," the Cape Air pilot responded.
