Fremont city crews began a phased park closure Monday for a homeless encampment sweep and general cleanup, according to city officials.

Starting Monday, areas of Isherwood Park, at Isherwood Way and Quarry Lakes Drive, were temporarily closed to all visitors. The work includes vegetation removal and environmental remediation, the city said.

A full park closure is scheduled for Nov. 14, the city said. Relocation support is being offered to those resideing at the park.
