OWENSBORO, Ky. (WEVV) — An Owensboro Police Department officer has been arrested for an off-duty incident that happened on October 30, according to the department.
OPD issued a statement Monday that says the department is conducting an investigation into the off-duty arrest of Officer Christina Butler.
According to the statement, deputies with the Daviess County Sheriff's Office responded to Officer Butler's home around 8 p.m. on October 30.
As a result of the call, Officer Butler was arrested and charged with Assault 4th Degree (Domestic Violence).
According to the sheriff's office, Butler was involved in a physical altercation with a juvenile, which prompted neighbors to call 911.
The sheriff's office says Butler and the victim both had minor injuries to their face and necks.
