TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) - Security measures have been heightened at the Vail School District following a controversial incident involving Halloween costumes worn by math teachers. Turning Point USA claimed the costumes referenced the death of Charlie Kirk. District officials strongly deny this connection.
News 4 Tucson's Andrew Capssso is on the scene at Cienega High School, where additional security presence is evident. A school resource officer and several Pima County deputies are stationed outside the school gates.
The increased security is a response to death threats received after the teachers wore shirts with the phrase "Problem Solved" as part of their Halloween costumes. The district clarified that these shirts were also worn last year and are not linked to Charlie Kirk's death or a
