The Lancaster County coroner on Monday identified a 15-year-old girl who died after the RV in which she was living caught fire.
Paige Dowlin, who attended Pequea Valley High School, died from smoke inhalation and thermal burns, according to the coroner, who ruled the death an accident.
The coroner was called to the Roamer’s Retreat Campground at 5005 Lincoln Highway in Kinzers after the 4 a.m. fire. Paige was trapped inside the burning camper.
Her brother posted on Facebook that Paige had been in the home with her older sister, age 17, when the fire erupted. The older sister escaped.
The cause of the fire remains unknown.
A cousin started an online fundraiser to help pay for funeral expenses.
