Jennifer Lawrence Defends David O. Russell: He Never Degraded Me

Jennifer Lawrence recently said on The New York Times’ “The Interview” podcast that she never felt degraded by filmmaker David O. Russell , who has often come under fire for his aggressive and contentious directing style. Lawrence was Russell’s muse as the star of 2012’s “ Silver Linings Playbook ,” 2013’s “ American Hustle ” and 2015’s “Joy,” all three of which scored her Oscar nominations.
