MORGAN'S POINT RESORT, Texas — The City of Morgan's Point Resort has announced it will soon consolidate its Police Department and Fire-Rescue Department into one unified Public Safety Department.

Both the Police and Fire-Rescue Divisions of the Public Safety Department will continue their regular roles in the community, though the City said the two divisions will operate collaboratively to share resources and respond to emergencies.

As part of the reorganization, the City also announced multiple leadership appointments. Matthew Schuetze has reportedly been promoted to Director of Public Safety, Todd Hodge has been promoted to Chief of Police Operations and Shane Sibley has been promoted to Chief of Fire-Rescue Operations.
