MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- Monday, WREG News Channel 3 kicked off our community food drive to help our neighbors in need during the ongoing government shutdown.

This is a collaborative effort as WREG has teamed up with Kroget to collect food and funds.

It's being called 'Our Neighbor's Table, a community food drive.

It's a way for everyone to help with the donation of food and funds during these uncertain times.

"They can't afford food, so anything you can give is everything to somebody," said Mary Rather, a Memphis resident. If you budget $10 and just give back, it's just that easy. If you have $5 to give, just give back."

When it comes to monetary donations made to the MidSouth Food Bank, $10 will provide 40 nutritious meals.
