SAO PAULO (Reuters) -Brazilian Finance Minister Fernando Haddad said on Monday that mobilizing $10 billion in public resources for the Tropical Forests Forever Facility (TFFF), a multilateral fund proposed by Brazil to support global conservation of endangered forests, would be an ambitious but achievable target for its first year.

Speaking on the sidelines of a Bloomberg event in Sao Paulo, Haddad said that, following Indonesia’s example, other countries might signal contributions to the fund during the United Nations climate summit in the Brazilian city of Belem next week.
