STILLWATER — Olivia Neverett thought her nose was broken. She could already feel her upper lip starting to swell — the universal sign that you’ve just been hit in the face by a ball.
Everyone handles pain differently, and it's an unavoidable part of life. For Neverett, who’s a junior defender with Saratoga Springs girls’ soccer, this was a different kind of pain. The kind that takes a backseat to adrenaline and celebration after knocking in the game-winning goal of a sectional finals match in double overtime.
