Beatrice Ward Balls of Smithfield, Utah, returned home to her Heavenly Father on November 1, 2025 at the age of 93. She was born July 5, 1932 in Malta, Idaho, to Dale LeRoy and Myrtle Beatrice Ward. She was the oldest daughter of seven children.

Shortly after Beatrice was born, her family moved to Layton, Utah, where she grew up. She graduated from Davis High School at the age of 16. At times Beatrice worked two jobs to earn the money necessary to attend college. It was her dream to become a teacher and she graduated from Utah State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education. For over 26 years, Beatrice served the Cache County School District, where she taught 1st grade. He
