Mustangs’ St. Croix stars in OUA soccer

Western Mustangs goalkeeper Samantha St. Croix of Port Lambton is a West Division first-team all-star in OUA women’s soccer.

The Wallaceburg Tartans alum led Ontario University Athletics in save percentage (.919), goals-against average (0.26) and fewest goals allowed (three in 12 games). She also had eight shutouts in the regular season.

The Mustangs tied for the West Division lead at 8-1-3. They beat McMaster 2-1 in a quarter-final and lost to Toronto 1-0 in a semifinal.

St. Croix was in her fifth season. She was a West Division second-team all-star in 2024.

LKSSAA football playoff schedule

The Ursuline Lancers (5-1) will host the Northern Vikings (4-2) on Friday, Nov. 7, at 2 p.m. in the LKSSAA senior football AAA semifinal.
