Morrisville, N.Y. ― The SUNY Morrisville campus is on lockdown Monday after a 20-year-old man was shot in the neck.
Around 3:16 p.m., a “hysterical” person called 911 to report there was a man with a gunshot wound inside South Hall, according to Madison County 911 Center dispatches.
Troopers found a 20-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the neck, State Police said in a news release. Troopers said the man shot is not a student at the college.
No one else was injured during the incident, troopers said.
The school was put on lockdown and civilians are being asked to avoid the area, said Samantha Field, a county spokesperson.
