We’re truly living in the midst of a monster renaissance, the likes of which haven’t been seen since Universal was making sure that every movie had a Frankenstein or a Wolfman in it. But, as hard as everyone may try, we like our monsters a little… bigger these days. With spikes. And tails. And atomic breath. We’re talking about Godzilla , of course, who is now the star of multiple distinct franchises: Hollywood has Legendary and Warner Bros.’ MonsterVerse series (including Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire ), and Japan has Toho’s Oscar-winning Godzilla Minus One , which is now getting a sequel called Godzilla Minus Zero .
