David John Parry had a passion for teaching. But the minute he walked through the door of his Richland home, the educator's attention immediately turned to his family.
And that led to some of his three children’s favorite memories with their father.
The trio remembers helping to build an addition on their home and tediously laying blocks for a retention wall. They have happy memories of lazy, hot summer days spent by a family friend’s pool and the sounds of their father playing in the Shriner’s band at Kennywood, rollercoasters whooshing nearby.
“He very intentionally never brought work home,” his daughter Lauren Trievel, 45, of Richland said. “And I can say for sure I never saw him grade a paper at home. He took care of it all during his business hours so when he was home he was doing
