It’s hard to fathom just how much support the Toronto Blue Jays had throughout all of Canada on their epic World Series run.
If you were out for a walk on the streets, you were almost sure to pass somebody donning Blue Jays apparel. It was next to impossible to find a restaurant or bar that wasn’t playing a game or discussing one coming up.
The anticipation was valid, as this marked the first time the Jays had advanced to the World Series since 1993. They came as close as possible to picking up their third championship, but wound up falling to the LA Dodgers in a fantastic series that went the distance.
Given that the Jays were able to overcome the odds so often this season, many believed they felt like a team of destiny. When they flew from LA back to Toronto with a 3-2 series lead,
