RICHLAND, Wash. – The Richland Police Department (RPD) is investigating a shooting that occurred in the 300 block of Van Giesen Street on November 2 around midnight.
Richland police said that as officers were heading to the scene, they learned that two people had arrived at a local hospital with gunshot wounds.
RPD said that early investigation suggests that an argument took place in a parking lot between three people, leading to one individual firing a gun at two others in their vehicle.
The two victims drove themselves to the hospital and were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
RPD investigators believe the altercation was targeted between the parties involved and not random.
Anyone with information related to the case is asked to submit a tip on the RPD website.
