A fire was burning in central Milford, Massachusetts, on Monday evening, according to police.

Milford police urged the public to avoid Main Street between Jefferson and Pearl streets, which was closed.

Firefighter unions from nearby towns said on social media that they had crews assisting the fire in Milford.
