It was a busy weekend for The Indiana State Police Lafayette District, with increased patrols to keep drivers safe.

Over the course of the weekend, troopers made 194 traffic stops, investigated 12 crashes, and handled 70 additional calls for service along with multiple arrests and citations that included:

4 - Driver’s License Offenses

4 - Operating While Intoxicated (OWI)

6 - Drug-Related Arrests

2 - Reckless Driving/Speed Contest Violations: 2

1 - Warrant Arrest: 1

The increased patrols were part of an ongoing effort to reduce crashes through high-visibility enforcement.

The Indiana State Police reminds all motorists to drive responsibly and never operate a vehicle while impaired and always obey posted speed limits.
